She saw a stair case to the left of her and so she took it. Up the the stairs she ran in shear panic. Her heart beating in her chest, and already growing fatigued from an endless sprint. She finally came to a stop at a point where two halls intersected.
Hearing screams from both living and dead in every direction, she felt helpless. Her friend was killed, she was lost and surrounded with nowhere to go and no way out of the building, and she knew it. At the opposite end of the hall two survivors both male one in a black shirt and gray cargo pants, the other wearing blue jeans, and an orange shirt run out from the room they were hiding in. and are about to make a run for it until the one in black spotted Mary. He then tells the other to stop and wait, then try's to get her attention, while the one wearing orange urges his friend to leave her so they may escape. to the right at the end of the hall is an open window which could be her way out.
with the zombies gaining and herself out of breath Mary had to make a decision.
