As you helplessly wait for fate's next twist, the bird's crop starts contracting, pushing its contents including you out of it. After falling down a fleshy chute, you end up in a bigger chamber. There is sooth everywhere, and the floor is covered by a pool of liquid which gives of an acidic smell. The sparrow's stomach, no doubt.
Desperately, you try to keep out of the acid, but no matter how hard you try, a part of you is always submerged, be it a foot, a hand, or anything. After struggling for nearly a minute, you pause. Having sputter lots of acid all over you, you should certainly be in pain by now, but nothing. You examine your left hand, which is currently in a pool of the liquid. Not reddened, no signs of dissolving. Somehow, you have become protected from the acid. And you don't feel like suffocating either. Things are really getting weirder and weirder. Still, you are the bird's prisoner, and although it can't harm you, it would seem, you can't get out of it either.
The stomach starts to move, squishes its contents. At first it feels like a massage, not really that unpleasant. Then you see one of the stones the sparrow had swallowed before approach. THUD! The walls shove the rock into you. It feels like its being pushed right through your body, and this is definitely not pleasant. Then the pressure eases, and the stone drops away. You take advantage of this and move before there is the next contraction. But all around you, everything is moving, and there were several stones the sparrow had swallowed.
Realizing that the stomach still is too dangerous a place, you look for the exit. It isn't hard to find the muscle ring that closes of the intestines from the stomach. Applying some strength, you are able to force it open. Wedging in your arms, you shove in your head and chest. Then you start wriggling, until your feet have also left the stomach.
The intestines were definitely not designed to accomodate you. You are squeezed by the walls as they are slowly shoving you onwards. Actually, you can't move except for some weak wriggling. Your arms are trapped at your sides. It is hot, wet, and the smell ...
This trip takes like eternity, but finally, you can see some light ahead. It grows bigger and bigger, and then you are surrounded by fresh air. You rejoice - for a moment before you realize that you are really surrounded by fresh air! The sparrow has relieved itself in midflight, sending you falling down towards a dark grey surface. You scream as you hit it. Although it turns out to be water, the impact is still cruel. Your head spins, and everything hurts. But you are alive. Struggling a bit, you are able to resurface and breathe again.
As you recover from the fall, you see the university's main building in the distance above some weird jungle. Adjusting your interpretations you realize that this must be the university's pond. Well, although it was a rough ride, it did get you close to your target. You just have to swim to the edge, and then walk over the yard into the building.
As you swim over the edge, you thank heavens for the pond being there. You have never really cared too much for it, but there are other students that help keep it clean, spend afternoons looking at the water, feeding the fish, or hang around it for some other reasons. Fish! You suddenly remember that there are fish in the pond. For a normal- sized person just some part of the background, but at your size, they should be as big as large sharks. You start swimming faster, giving it all you have. The rest is up to fate, though.
