You look down at Charlene again. Her eyes are closed, and she's breathing softly, still holding onto your body. You raise your arms to hug her back, but you just shake your head and put them down again. "How long has it been?" You think to yourself. "Why is she so sure? I mean...I haven't even known her an hour. I appreciate her helping me and all but...I suppose I could stay for a while. At least until I get this mess sorted out. I mean really...athro pokemon world? She...She's alright." You don't want to admit it, but you really like Charlene. You think about getting up, but Charlene is a bit too heavy for you to move around without disturbing her, and by the looks of it, she isn't letting you go anywhere any time soon.
It's gotten to be about 9:00. Looking out the window you notice it's pretty dark. "Why is she falling for me like this? I just...I don't know. Well, she is more animal then human. Is this what charmanders do when they find someone they really want to be with? *sigh* I'll figure it out in the morning. Unless this is all just a dream. Why am I not surprised about all this?" You think to yourself resting your head back against the couch. Falling asleep is surprisingly easy. Despite the fact that Carlene is resting on you and you can clearly feel her claws on your back, which are more rounded then sharp, but still.
The next morning you feel....odd. For starters you're now laying down on the couch, with Carlene nowhere in sight. You seem to have a weird taste in your mouth. Like you've just eaten something. Your face is...wet for some reason, and....your shirt. Where is your shirt!?! You find it resting on the a coffee table a few feet from the couch. You sit up and wipe your eyes. "I feel like I've been drowning or something. Was I drooling?" You think aloud, grabbing your shirt and putting it on. You get up and find Charlene with her hands over her face. Softly sobbing on a chair in the kitchen. "Char-Charlene what's wrong?" You say as you walk in, noticing her tail is starting to burn. She puts her hands down and looks up at you, her eyes filled with tears. "I'm s-sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean t-to. I just, I don't know what came over me, I was..ohhh." You walk up closer, wiping your face some more.
"Charlene, what it is. What-what is it something I did? Why are you apologizing? I-what happened?"
"I'm so sorry, I-I'll never forgive myself for this." She cries some more.
"What? What are you crying? I'm so lost here."
"For what I did to you! I don't know what it was, what I was feeling, but...I-I couldn't stop..." You try to reason with her, ask her what exactly she did, but in the end she just gets up and runs out the back door, sprinting through the forest. It was sprinkling when you woke up, but now it's starting to rain more and more. "Carlene!" you yell after her as she continues to run. You don't think she's going to come back unless you can somehow talk to her again. What are you going to do?
