Chapter #5

This Ends NOW!

Can't we just get along? you think to yourself...that's what you'd like to say. But you knew better than to say that. Your mom would only take one of the two answers she presented. And that's when you realized that this...thing before you didn't give a steaming pile about you. And its most likely that she was once a slave to her family until she earned her rights...But that didn't make it right. She mistreated her own son, because her family mistreated her...And that infuriated you. There would be no Peace for your Family - it was all an endless cycle. They were all evil - PURE evil...And they no longer deserved to draw breath.

At that moment, while you stood in silence - you felt this unbelievable warm feeling well within you. You could feel the muscles in your arms and chest tighten. It was so strange that you suddenly felt so strong. And you felt angry. So incredibly angry. And the madder you got - the stronger the feeling welled up inside you. You didn't know what it was or what it meant. All you knew was one thing - that no matter what happened, you were going to stop this horrible tradition.

"No," you suddenly said. Your mother raised her eyebrow. "This is all going to stop! No training, no tests, no slaves, no masters! Its all going to end."

"You little Maggot," she said. "You think just cause you resisted one of my lower level spells that you suddenly call the shots around here? You don't! I own you! I own everyone in this family! I earned it! I have the Power!"

"And you've abused that power for long enough! I refuse to let the cycle begin again!" you shouted - you clenched your fist tightly - your knuckles made a loud cracking sound.

"Insolent little Brat," she said. "You thought we were unfair to you before? Once this is over - you won't have a single moments peace! I'll make you learn your place, just as I had to learn mine! And it will absolutely be the worst years of your life!" She suddenly raised her hand toward you - from her open palm a beam of light shot toward you. But you showed absolutely no hesitation to the beam - as it drew closer to you, the heat from within exploded into a glowing white aura, surrounding your body. It completely absorbed the blast.

Your mother was astounded...and afraid. She slowly began to back away - until suddenly, she felt her feet locked into position. She looked down and saw that the aura was around her shoes, cementing them to the floor. She looked up at you - your eyes now completely white and bolts of static shooting from them. You said nothing to her. You simply raised your open hand to her. Slowly - you began to close your fingers.

Your mother reacted painfully. She gasped for air as you heard a loud cracking sound from her chest. She placed a hand over her heard. You clenched your fist fully - your mothers eyes lit up with white aura. Her skin turned gray. Suddenly - her entire body collapsed into a pile of ashes. A small breeze picked up and the ashes began to scatter about the room.

The aura around your body died down and you took in deep breaths. You couldn't believe what had just happened. Somehow you'd killed the thing that called itself your mother...You felt surprise...but no regret. She hadn't earned the title to be called a 'mother' - especially not from you. She was cruel, and vile - she got what she deserved. But you were afraid - you had no idea how you managed to pull something like that off. And least of all, if you'd be able to do it again. You were really afraid because - what if a family member found out what you'd done and try to avenge her?

You had to work fast. You had to leave while you still stood at normal size. But...everyone in your family had magic. Where could you go that none of them could find you? If only there was a way that you could disguise yourself from their magic. If only there was an...instruction manual for using magic. That's when an idea came to you; your mom had to have had a spell-book. How else would she keep track of all her spells or plan to train you? But where would she have kept it?

Suddenly you saw the light bounce off a shiny surface. You looked down into the pile of ashes and saw a golden key with a gold chain. She must've worn it around her neck. Suddenly you remembered something - your mom liked keeping you around her feet when she shrank you. She'd leave you in her shoes closet for days on end...but one day when you looked up - you saw something. Hidden behind one of the coats was a keyhole on the wall. It was a stretch, but you had to at least try!

You grabbed the key and began to work your way upstairs. You were a bit cautious - your two siblings may be younger than you, but they still had powers stronger than yours, and they least of all knew how to use theirs. So you quietly proceeded over to her room. When inside - you locked the door. You slipped over to her closet and opened it up. You quickly covered your nose - even at normal size, her shoes were so pungent. Using your free hand, you moved a few coats aside. And there it was - the lock and keyhole. You inserted the key and turned it to the right - hearing a loud click. Suddenly the wall parted in two from the seam. Inside was a tiny room with a podium at the far end. And on the podium was a large book.

"Okay - half way there," you say to yourself. You turned and closed the closet in case the locked door wasn't enough. You moved toward the book. But then you began to think - just cause you could do magic didn't mean you'd be able to perform a written spell. You just wished he had some answers on what his powers were and how to control them.

Suddenly, the cover of the book swung open and the pages began turning themselves - as if a breeze had picked up. Cautious - you slowly approached the book. It didn't look like a spell - but more like something you'd find in a text book about Magical History. You began reading the Text out-loud.

"For Centuries - Magic has been passed down the line from parent to child. It is most common that Magic Wielding Children exhibit use of Magic at very young Ages. Those children who do not, are traditionally used as little more than Household slaves to serve their Magic Using Relatives. Sometimes an unimpressive slave child - with time - will build up enough willpower and immunity to resist the Magic Spells of some Family Members. At that time, freeing the child from bondage and training must commence immediately. Should the child never exhibit any magical ability - they are usually deemed a lost cause, and shall remain a slave for as long as (natural or otherwise) their master deems fit."

You noticed how there was no mention that after enduring 29 years of Slavery - a Magic Wielding Slave could emerge a Powerful Warlock, Master of his entire Family. You felt angered - that shit about 12 more years of Hell was all a lie. Your mom just didn't want to loose her slave-toy! As your anger grew, you felt that she deserved what she got...And that's when you suddenly noticed the next paragraph.

"However - in rare cases - every few generations or so, an Anomaly will occur; a child with no signs of ability will be born into slavery - unbeknownst to it or the parents that the child's magical talent lays dormant within them. The Anomaly's powers continue to grow, welling within - reaching to nearly dangerous levels of ability. Most often in these cases, the Anomaly's abilities will not awaken until a resistance to Magic has formed."

Next to the definition is a picture of a being with a white aura surrounding him. This suddenly made sense on how you were able to kill your mom. Not only were you born into bondage, you were also a genetic oddity. But this was a bit of a good thing. You felt that you were born unlucky to not be treated right by your mom - but all this time, you had a little bit of luck, growing within you. You looked at the book - it opened to the right page. It was like it could read what you needed and showed it to you. Knowing that it had answers - you were positive that it could have what you needed.

But you couldn't be distracted anymore - you had to find a protection spell to avoid detection. You began to comb through the book and finally found the spell section. You searched through it, but before you got to the Cloaking spells, you found something else.

"Magicus Orption - A forbidden, dangerous level spell. When used in company of other magic wielding beings, this spell will allow you to steal their magical powers. Their magic ability and knowledge is added to your overall collective. Was responsible for some of the most dangerous Warlocks in history. Can only be used on Living Wizards and Witches."

That got you thinking. You couldn't take your mother's power - she was already dead. But your siblings were still alive. Instead of having to hide from your brother and sister...maybe you could take their power. Then you could kill them easily. But you thought - did you really want to kill a 14 and 10 year old? But then...they'd always been cruel to you. Plus - there was a chance that Sarah had once been older - and went through Training to get where she is. There was no doubt in your mind that both of them were just as evil as your bitch of a mother. And one day they'd probably do the same with their children.

So what will you do?

You have the following choices:

1. Steal Dan and Sarah's powers and then kill them?

*Noteb*
2. Use a Protection Spell to completely hide from them?

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
