A gentle giant anthro story, for those who like them absurdly huge.

Chapter #5

A Family of Gods

    by: Hereward Author IconMail Icon
You awake to find yourself in a luxurious bed with crisp white sheets upon a pearly-white marble plateau. There's an oak walk-in wardrobe off to the side with enough space to occupy your entire bedroom as you remember it and a marble-walled box of some kind leads off from that. A set of mahogany shelves stands opposite your bed stocked full of hardback books, the kind you see in the private libraries and studies of stately homes. Finally the bedside table holds a most elegant reading lamp and, curiously enough, a fresh cup of tea. Someone left you a drink that would have to be drunk within minutes and so must've known you'd wake soon. Taking the saucer in your hand you marvel at the fine china with the characteristic blue pattern associated with the Ming dynasty. You take a cautious sip; it's perfect, everything about it is just the way you like it. Still you have to wonder what happened. There are no walls you can see nor any other features beyond the furnishings that are specifically set around your bed. How can this be your bedroom?

You finish the tea and put the cup and saucer down on the bedside table before getting up, deciding to check if any of those books will give you an idea. You browse over the titles: The Divine Authority, A History of the World, The Laws of the Universe, Civilisation: A Guide to Human Life, Animals and Anthros: Spot the Difference, you stop when you come across a more familiar title in this lot; Precious Memories. You take this book off the shelf and sit in an easy-chair you don't recall seeing earlier and confirm that it's a family album. The photos are stunning.

First you find a couple of anthropomorphic animals cradling a smaller equivalent; you identify the species as fox, raccoon and the baby's a dog of some kind. The second picture shows a single female anthro bouncing a young male on her knee, both are rabbits. The third shows you as a toddler standing in the middle of a golden forest... or is it a field?

It's bewildering why you've got a photo album full of furries and of you standing on oddly-coloured plains and in oddly-coloured fields or forests. One thing's for sure those anthros sure are beautiful; every one of them, male and female, possess powerful charisma that would make even the most ardent heterosexuals and homosexuals take a bisexual stance. However you find yourself completely incapable of tolerating any real romantic feelings for these beings. Suddenly you hear a magnificent voice addressing you from up above.

"I know how much those memories mean to you." It says. "But it's high time you got ready for the day." You close the book and put it back before it's even registered that you can't find the will to disobey that voice. Looking round you discover that your bed's already made.

"Uhh, where are you?" You ask, prompting the angelic voice to giggle before answering.

"Up here, silly mortal." You look up and are blown away by the sight of a gorgeous mink anthro looking down at you. She was immense! In the distance you can see her fingers resting upon the plateau, they must've been at least a mile thick.
