This choice: Didn't have enough color to restore everyone • Go Back...
Chapter #3
Splitting Up
by: Unknown
You met up with Splotchy when you ran out of ink. You saw he had done the same, but a vast majority of people hadn't been colored in and just like with yourself some of the people he colored hadn't got all their color back.
"Figured as much. The beast I fell was merely a straggler sniffing around for any missed color." He then jumped up the top of the nearest house a converted his pen into a telescope to survey the surrounding area. There's some traces of color in the distance. The main group is over there. You stay behind while I return with the color."
"You can't take on a group of them, can you" you asked, unsure of his ability.
"I'll be fine, with or without you, but a more pressing matter is this town. We restored some color to the people and that will undoubtedly attack some of the creatures. You must protect them."
"How can I? I don't have a weapon like you?"
"You have the the eye dropper. It'll serve as a weapon for now, but be on your guard, to steal your color is the same as robbing you of your life. Don't allow them one inch and beware their tricks. They pray on those who are indecisive. Remember don't start what you don't intend to see to the end."
With that he walked off, leaving you alone in the town. The few villages you revive had gone about searching for their loved ones. You placed yourself in a colorless lookout tower in the center of the village to keep an eye out for any of the creatures coming in from the distance.
