"I think we should follow him. You up for it?" asked Renamon staring at the path the boy had been chased down. Guilmon laughed "You know me, always up for a fight." And with that they both took off in the direction the boy had run
After a short dash they rounded a corner and nearly bumped into one of the robot things. It immediately turned towards them and made a grating, electronic noise that definitely did not sound friendly. Guilmon reacted first hitting it hard with he's claws and yelling rock breaker. The robot was knocked back, flipping over and exploding upon impact with the wall.
Guilmon covered his head with his arm as small bits of it came raining down. "Well that was easy." He said grinning at Renamon who plucked a few pieces of metal from her fur. Renamon looked over his shoulder, her face paling slightly. "What is it." Asked Guilmon, looking behind himself to see over thirty of the things. All staring at them with those glowing red eyes. "Umm. Should we run?" Asked Guilmon. As one all the robots tilted backwards revealing a black hole at their base. Guilmon took a step back, then as if taking that as a signal all the Robots shot out large balls of spinning fire. Guilmon and Renamon dodged back around the corner as the torrent of fire burst from the alley. "Yes Guilmon. I think we should run." Renamon replied. "C'mon, back the way we came." She said pointing in the direction they had come from.
No sooner than they pushed off the wall than another group of robots had slid out of the alley opposite them, cutting off their escape route. "Dammit!" cursed Renamon turning to face the robots that appeared from the original alley, completely surrounding them. "So, fight our way out?" Asked Guilmon standing back to back to her. "Well, it's either try or die I suppose."Said Renamon. Both digimon took up fighting stances as the robots tilted backwards ready to fire. Suddenly a line of robots exploded as they where hit by small balls of red energy. Both the digimon looked up to the top of one of the shorter buildings to see the boy in blue armor shooting a arm mounted gun into the crowd of robots. Renamon and Guilmon nodded to each other and then dashed into the crowd destroying robots with their power paw and rock breaker attacks.
Soon the Robots where reduced to a smoking mound of scrap and the boy leapt down from his position and walked towards them. Guilmon stepped forward his claw extended. "Thanks for the help. Do you live round here?" The young boy accepted the offered claw and shook it firmly. "Your welcome. My names Megaman Volnutt, and I should really thank you. Those reaverbots have been chasing me for ages." Renamon stepped up next to Guilmon. "So those things are called reaverbots then. Why where they attacking you. Your not a digimon are you?" Megamon shrugged. "I'm a digger, I go around to ruins looking for power sources called refractors. Needless to say they are valuable and protected by the robots that we just destroyed. So that's my story, what's yours?" Asked Megaman.
This time Guilmon answered "Our names are Renamon and Guilmon. We were looking for treasure in the forest above when we, well, I fell into an entrance and, here we are." Megaman nodded then turned towards a large tower that was roughly central to the city. "I did some reseach on this city before I came. As well as having a large refractor they posses an advanced machine that can change the physical properties of anything. Such as gold from anything from wood or whatever. would you be interested in helping me get the refractor in exchange for my services to get to the machine.
A glint passed through Renamons eyes. "Excuse us a second Megaman." She said as she pulled Guilmon aside. "We should help him. He helped us after all." Said Guilmon. "Your right, but this refractor thing sounds valuable as well." They both glance at Megaman who is inspecting his gun arm.
