Chapter #3

Bowhan loses the child, releasing it into the sea.

         Bowhan places the child on the edge of the cliff, mumbling under his breath. "This child is not mine, it was born of evil. I cannot allow it to live." He unsheathed his sword, raising it above the child. The child opened it's eye's, revealing the eyes which where the same deep blue. Bowhan brought down his sword between his feet, deeply embedding it into the ground sighing. "This child was not born of evil, he was born of my stupidity and lust." Leaning against the sword, and sighing again.

         Bowhan asked. "Little one what am I to do? I'm a monster hunter, and your half fish. Dammit!" He kicked the sword. *Crack* A crack formed from the edge of the cliff to the sword and back to the edge. He reaches for the child screaming. "No!" The child, his sword, and part of the cliff fall towards the ocean. The one thing Bowhan hears is. "Father! Hel*Splash*" He looks over the cliff the water began turning red. Bowhan said. "My son, what have I done?"

         Under the water the sword had stabbed through a seal, killing it and pinning its body to the ocean floor turning the water red. The child slowly began to change while it was unconscious. It's inky black hair grew longer then it. It's tail glistened with blueish-violet scales and it's skin grew slightly tan. The child's eyes opened. It's dark blue irises with flecks of silver and green, are double the size they should be. It swims around searching and calling. "Father!" For hours, with no response.

         The child wept, pulling the sword from the seal corpse. Dragging it across the ocean floor, towards wherever it may go. You are what you eat applies especially to merfolk the child learns that later, It finds a...
