"I know, where are you staying?" Gwen asked.
"I have no home," the dragon child said, "I just woke up and was captured by a man who wanted me as a slave or pet. I don't even have a name." the dragon child began crying.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Gwen said, "I didn't know." She looked down, then back at the dragon with her eyes wide. "I know where you can stay!" The dragon looked up.
"You do? Where?" the dragon asked.
"You can stay at my home!" Gwen said, walking over to Vincent and slapping him.
"You mean it?" the dragon asked.
"Yeah, my papa is the lord of this area," Gwen said, "He should agree to this." Vincent slowly opened his eyes.
"Milady," he said, realizing he was still bound. "What happened?"
"We were attacked by robbers," Gwen said, "But someone saved us."
"Who?" Vincent asked,, before seeing the dragon child. The child waved back. "Milady run, there's a dragon behind you," Vincent said quietly.
"You know I can hear you easily," the dragon said.
"He spoke," Vincent said.
"He also saved my life," Gwen said, "And because of that, I own him a favor, right?"
"That doesn't apply to beasts," Vincent said.
"I'm half human," the dragon said. He walked over and with a sharp claw, cut the bolo's rope. "Will you please help me?"
"Uh, well," Vincent said, standing up. "This beast sounds no older than milady. He did save her life. Oh what to do?"
"Vincent, do I need to order you to help?" Gwen asked.
"No, I will use what pull I have with your father to help this child," Vincent said.
"Great, we should then return to the castle," Gwen said, before looking at the dragon. "I have a request," she said.
"Anything for you," the dragon said, lowering his long neck.
"May I ride on your back?" Gwen asked, "Please? That way they won't try and hurt you when we get close to the castle."
"Sure,' the dragon said, getting to all fours. He stood about 3' 6" off the ground on all fours. Vincent hesitantly helped his lady up on the dragon's shoulders and neck.
"Okay, let's go," Gwen said, smiling. "I know it. This is the true friend mother sent me for my birthday!" Gwen thought.
"My first friends," the child thought, smiling.
"He seems to be a small child trapped inside a beasts body. If his motives are sincere, he might become an excellent guard to the princess," Vincent thought, seeing how mush the two had bonded.
