"As much as this child is a monster, it is still mine." Bowhan said to himself, "I will not turn the child loose on the world nor shall I force it on someone else."
Bowhan carried the child off into the wood and found a cave deemed far enough from the village to serve as a new home. Bowhan lay the child down and gathered kindling and leaves to serve as a bed for him. Bowhan saw the child had crawled out of its buddle and was walking around on all fours completely dragon now.
The dragon saw Bowhan returning and ran up to him and started to nuzzel his leg.
"Get away from me you monster," Bowhan shouted kicking the dragon in the rib, "I may have to raise you because I fathered you but that does not mean I have to enjoy it in the least."
The dragon looked shocked and started crying. Bowhan ignored the crying dragon and continued to go about lighting the fire and and making his bed. Bowhan eventually laid down next to his fire on a bed of leaves and fell asleep.
The dragon stopped crying and tried to curl up next to its father for comfert. However, Bowhan was a light sleeper and woke up instantly and shoved the dragon away from him.
"Get away from me monster," Bowhan said shoving the dragon to the other side of the fire, "You are not to touch me nor come near me unless I tell you otherwise!"
Bowhan then rolled over as the dragon started to cry again. Bowhan had never even bothered to see if the dragon was a boy or a girl.
