Bowhan slowly unwrapped the bundle. The demon said that the child would take the form of the creature he had last killed. Bowhan knew full well how dangerous the child would be if it truly was what he thought it was.

Bowhan uncovered the bundle and underneath was a large snake the size of a small anaconda. The snake had dark green skin and a large head full of needle like teeth. It was a basilisk, there was no doubt about that.

The snake opened it's eyes, and Bowhan quickly closed his. He didn't feel like turning to stone that night. He took the cloth and tried to cover the basilisk, but it wasn't in the same spot. "Where the hell is it?" Bowhan wondered.

Suddenly, he felt something wrap around his waist. He was about to take his sword and kill the thing, but the creature wasn't squeezing to kill. Bowhan wondered what was going on and he peeked. The basilisk was wrapped around Bowhan's waist but it didn't look like it was trying to kill him. It looked like the creature was cuddling and hugging Bowhan.

Bowhan grabbed the hilt of his claymore while the creature was distracted. He was going to kill it, but the basilisk quickly looked up at Bowhan. Bowhan closed his eyes, but he realized it was too late. He had see the snake's blue eyes of a split second. He waited to be turned into stone, but it didn't happen. He opened his eyes and saw the snake's blue eyes, eyes just like his own. he stared into the eyes for a minute, but nothing happened.

"Why am I not turning into stone?" he wondered, "Does this creature not have the ability to do that for some reason?" Little did Bowhan know, all creatures that turn things to stone have the power to decide what they want turned to stone. The snake knew Bowhan was his father, and it didn't want him turned to stone.

The snake started to slither up Bowhan's body and then began to nuzzle his chest. "It knows," Bowhan thought, "It knows I'm it's father. What should I do with it? It's a dangerous monster and should be killed. However, knows am its father. Maybe I can raise it and teach it to not harm humans, but what are the chances that would work?"

You have the following choices:

1. Bowhan raises the creature.

2. Bowhan abandons it
