Swimming as fast as you can, you suddenly notice the remote wiggling in your friend's back pocket of his swimsuit. As you watch, it wriggles and floats free, bobbing to the surface directly beneath you. Hurriedly, you point it, to the best of your ability, at your friend and press "shrink". In an instant, he gets to about your height. Pointing it at yourself, and treading water, you press "grow" until you can touch the bottom. Opening your eyes, you look around.
The first thing you notice is your friend. He's really tiny and treading water. Then, you see that your head is poking up out of the water. Good.
The final thing you realize is that you're still in the deep end.
Now, this is not a little commercial pool that your friend's family bought. They're super-ultra-rich, so their pool reaches down quite a ways. For you to touch the deep end was beyond your power to dive to, much less stand up and reach the air and the bottom at the same time. Walking slowly to the shallow end carefully, trying not to panic, you realize that you're in the 10 feet and your entire torso is sticking out above the water. The whole schebang.
Examining yourself, you see that you gained some definition in the growth process. Your abs and pecs stand out against your skin, and you look sorta good, for someone who doesn't actually pay attention to that sort of thing. You're also naked, which is unfortunate. You'd kinda expected that your trunks would grow, too, but you supposed they ripped quite a while ago.
Oh, wait! You forgot about your friend! Wading back to the deep end, you stare into his tiny face and aim the growth ray carefully...
A minute later, he's treading water, back to normal once more. After that, it's simple for you to shrink back to your normal (though, for whatever reason, still well-muscled) size again. Paddling, embarrassed, over to a spare pair of swim trunks, you pull them on and get out. Your friend follows suit. However, he doesn't seem to remember diddly about the whole event, so you leave his house and head to another friend's...
