Questioning A Blessing

Before Laura's nostrils could emit the mini-explosion that is a sneeze, a pair of fingers quickly swept out and plugged up her nose, preventing another violent sneeze. Sniffing hard at the restrained sneeze, she looked up to find that the pair of fingers belonged to her boyfriend, who knew very well that she had allergies and reacted quickly to try to alleviate the grief that they caused her.
"Thanks." Laura said weakly, her eyes still somewhat watery. "He's so caring. No wonder he's my boyfriend." she thought as she entered his car, riding shotgun. Dave inserted the keys into the ignition, started up his car (a fairly new Toyota Prius. It cost a bundle to buy, but Dave was very eco-conscious, so he didn't mind all the part time jobs he had to take to buy it), and carefully maneuvered out of the driveway.
For a while, Laura just sat there with the window open, enjoying the breeze. Dave, meanwhile, was still stunned at the blessing that had suddenly showed up at his doorstep. He didn't know what he had done to deserve it, but whatever it was, he was pretty glad that he had done it!
Dave usually wasn't one to question miracles, but he couldn't help but be curious about his girlfriend's new "enhancements". Were they fake, or did she really just hit some kind of growth spurt? He hoped that she hadn't spent a lot of money just to get breast implants to impress him, because he liked her just the way she was.
His inquisitiveness finally got the better of him. "Hey Laura," he said, stopping at a red light "How did you get your breasts to grow bigger like that? I mean, I saw you just a few days ago and they weren't that big, so I'm just wondering why this happened so suddenly, that's all."
Laura turned to face her boyfriend and thought for a moment. Should she tell him the truth and risk looking like a lunatic, or should she make something up on the spot?
