You suddenly realize the room feels much colder

I shivered. It suddenly felt colder in my apartment, and goose bumps rose on my arms.

"Hmm, maybe I turned up the AC too high," I said.

"That's not it," said Zoey quietly.

I took a step back from her. Her eyes were changing color, and the outline of her body seemed to be getting fuzzier.

"I am here to guide you. We need to take a journey, but not to where you think. We're heading to Writing.com."

I laughed nervously. Zoey was beginning to scare me. "Zoey, that's an internet site. You can't really go there, unless you want to go to the Storymaster's house or something."

Zoey smiled. "That's what you think. I told you that I am your guide. Your guide to new and fantastic things. Here's your chance. To become a good writer, you must have good experiences. You have to take risks. Are you ready for this one?"

I gulped. "I don't know, Zoey."

"I have the power to travel cyberspace. I will only offer one more time, Aneeta. This is an experience of a lifetime, and one that you won't get again. If you don't accept, I won't be back, and you will return to your mundane life."

She seemed to be getting blurrier and blurrier, fading away.

"Take my hand if you want to join me." Her voice seemed like a far away echo.

I hesitated, unsure of what to do. Then, with fear coursing through my veins, wondering if I would regret this, I ....
