It was Derek who ended up making the first initiative at his friend's lips, which were every bit as wonderful as he imagined it. It was unlike any kiss he ever had in his life, even from his previous girlfriend he had in middle school. At that moment of time he didn't care what was about to happen to him and Stacey: he was enjoying the moment too much to care. The two kissed for a very long time before finally stopping, both looking quite happy by what happened.
"I didn't know you were such a great kisser, Derek!" Stacey told her friend, blushing red from her being the one being kissed for a change.
"And your kiss was just as wonderful as I thought it would have been. It was worth it", he added in, holding Stacey's hand with his own and bowing down at her, causing her to stammer a little. "Stacey Calborne, would you do me the honor of being your boyfriend?"
