This choice: Possess Sarah, and go see your sister. • Go Back...Chapter #5Possess Sarah, and go see your sister by: That One Guy  It wasn't a hard choice at all; using Sarah, you could gauge the feelings and goings-on of your family through Joanna. Depending on the response, you might have to take them over, too. You love your family, and they love you, and you don't want them to be hurt because of some stupid decision that you made.
You wait patiently in your bed until your alarm clock strikes midnight, then you get out of bed, and silently sneak into your sister's room. Fortunately for you, her door is slightly open, and it swings open without a sound. You make your way to Sarah's bed, where the girl is sleeping soundly, and pinch from your mouth a fat worm approximately the size and width of your index and middle fingers (you aren't sure how much you need to take someone over, but you can guess with the upmost certainly that it takes more than it does to possess a cat) and hold it over her slightly mouth. You place it softly onto her lower lip, and Sarah swallows it easily once it crawls into her mouth. You feel it dissolve halfway down her esophagus, and you feel the familiar, yet alien sensation of a second human body falling under your control. You open your new pair of eyes, and the dual vision you shared with the cat yesterday opens to your mind. You roll your new body out of bed, and stand the two sisters in front of each other. You're a little unsteady on Sarah's feet, and you hold her by the shoulders with Dana's hands until you've gotten used to the slightly disorienting sensation of having two human bodies. It quickly dies down -probably because the feel is only a small variant of controlling a human and a cat- and in no time at all you quickly become acclimated with the feel.
You remove your hands from Sarah's shoulders, and step back; you raise Sarah's head (You've been looking at the floor to ease the dizziness) and have the two sisters lock eyes in the dark. You briefly note how odd it is to look into your younger sister's eyes from behind Dana's while looking into your elder sister's from behind Sarah's. It's kind of like looking into a mirror from the reflection of another mirror: it could go on forever, and you'd rather not go that deep right now. Pushing that thought from your mind, you get to practicing. Manipulating multiple human bodies is challenging for you at first, and Dana and Sarah stumble and trip over themselves frequently as you have them tidy Sarah's room, but your previous experience with such tasks help you greatly, and less than an hour has passed before you can puppet them with such coordination that it's almost creepy. It takes you well into the early morning until you're sure you can move them in a way that looks natural enough, and it isn't until then that you practice holding a conversation between the two sisters.
"So, how do you like being part of the club?" Dana asks as you sit her on Sarah's bed. "Feels good, right?"
You nod your younger body's head, seating her on her bed, as well. "Yeah, it's like nothing I've ever felt before. But you know what would make it even better?" You raise Dana's eyebrow questioningly, before continuing in Sarah's voice. "If we include even more people."
"Good idea, sis, but who do you want to recruit? Mom and Dad? Oh, don't give me that look." You sigh at the face the girl gives you.
"I don't wanna be Mom and Dad. They're so boring!"
"But they could also turn out to be useful. You never know." It's Sarah's turn to sigh this time.
"Fine, we can add them, but I want Joanna to be in on this, too."
"That's fine, because I wanted to add Yumi. We can take them tomorrow. Here," you cough up a large piece of yourself and hand it to Sarah, who gulps it down, "I'll give you some more if you need it later."
"Thanks. Can we keep the cat?"
"Sure, I don't see why not. Anyways, I've got to go to bed. Good night, Sarah, sweet dreams." You stand Dana up and tuck your sister into bed before exiting and walking her back to her own bed.

It would seem that, despite the fact that your original, human body has for all intents and purposes ceased to exist, Lady Luck is smiling kindly to you, for during the night, you learn quite a bit more about yourself.
The first is the interior drama that unfolds after you've both gone to bed. You are exhausted from the day's attempt to act the part of Dana, but the excitement and anticipation of taking more hosts over keeps sleep from your grasp at first; So imagine your surprise when you feel Dana and Sarah themselves fall asleep, even though you are awake. That is nothing, though, compared to the shock you feel when you find yourself slipping down deeper into your mind. It starts as nothing more than a sinking sensation, and then everything turns on its head. Where before you had difficulty accessing their thoughts but easy access to their senses, everything is now opposite; Everything fades from both sisters' eyes and ears, but their minds come into full focus. Things like stars hang before you, and as you touch each one you find the fragment of a memory or sensation. Gathering them together, you find yourself coming into direct, unimpeded contact with more and more complex thoughts and feelings. It seems to take the full night, but as you gather more and more of the nearly uncountable items to yourself, Dana's and Sarah's complete minds—not only their memories but their habits and dispositions—become integrated into your own. By the time you are done, you don't have to "search" any more for what the two girls know and feel: Dana and Sarah Pak are almost like shadow selves wound up inside your own mind.
The second discovery comes when Dana's alarm goes off. That personality you acquired during the night comes to independent life, and you feel her looking around groggily and wondering why she feels so exhausted. You watch curiously as she wakes up and starts getting ready for church and planning the day ahead. You find you are able to read and even change her thoughts as they form, even though you can't control her body directly. Then, with only a light effort, you grasp the nearly infinite strands of her mind and find yourself once again looking out of her eyes.
You are standing in front of the bathroom mirror in mid-brush stroke. You stare back at yourself for a moment, then almost without deliberation you finish stroking out the hair and pull it back in just the way that Dana would want. Sarah will be banging on the door in a moment, you find yourself thinking; better hurry up and get that eyeliner on. Simultaneously, you can feel Sarah waking up, also wondering why she feels so exhausted. You sense her looking around, and you can feel the panic that flashes through her mind as she sees the time, and realizes how late she slept. So you watch in amusement from within Sarah's mind as she hurriedly prepares herself even as you run a brush through Dana's hair. You take control of Sarah just as she's about to bang on the bathroom door, and do it yourself.
"Come on, Dana, hurry up!" you yell in precisely the same way Sarah would.
"Hang on, I'm almost done!" you call back from within the bathroom as you put on the last of her makeup. You step back and smile at the mirror; the girl in the mirror twinkles back enchantingly at you. Then you unlock the door and as Sarah you shoot an irritated glare at your Dana body as she brushes past you. You notice with much delight that it has become significantly easier to manipulate them in a natural-looking way after you have absorbed their minds.
And so the morning and early afternoon pass easily, without any of the effort and mistakes you had made on Saturday; you are now not only part of Dana and Sarah, they are also a part of you. You hardly have to pay attention in order to play them perfectly in character. And during church, when you are feeling bored, you find you can "turn" the two back on: you slip back down inside their minds and let their senses fade, so that they can be bored by the sermon while you hum happily to yourself down in the recesses of their minds.

You spend most of the rest of the early afternoon coughing out little bits of yourself to see exactly how much of yourself is needed to keep a human in your grasp -you find it to be an averagely-sized worm, no larger than two of Dana’s fingers- then, using Dana’s mind (she’s always been better at math than you), you calculate that you have about twenty pieces with which to posses people. that would mean if you took over both your family and Dana’s, you’d have thirteen pieces to spread around (twelve if you include Mary, whom you have left as a spot for, should she come back to visit); not bad, though it looks like world domination won't happen anytime soon. Oh well, when life gives you lemons, take over people's bodies. Not really how the saying goes, but it's close enough.
After making plans with Yumi to hang out with Dana, and inviting Joanna to hang out at Sarah's, you make sure to spike a few drinks in the fridge, then take two orange sodas and drop a worm in one. By the time Yumi comes to pick you up, you're practically on fire with anticipation.
