It was a beautiful day in the Kokiri forest. Link was in his house when Saria came up. "Hey Link, what are you doing? If it's not important, would you want to go for a walk with me?" "Uh, yeah it's not important. Where are we walking?" Link asked. Link had always had a crush on Saria (and Zelda) and he thought this might be his chance to ask her on a date. "Let's walk trough the woods. I'll race you!" and Saria darted off toward the woods. Link quickly caught up and passed due to all the running he did across Hyrule field when he was saving it from Ganondorf.
Link and Saria arrived at the entrance to the woods and slowed to a walk. They began talking of their past and old memories when suddenly, they heard a noise in the bushes. Link hid Saria behind him and drew his sword. He checked every bush then a Wolfos appeared from behind him, but there was something different about this Wolfos. Not only was it much bigger than any other one Link had seen, but it had a second head and was standing on two feet. "I may need a better sword." Link said and he was right. His Kokiri Sword was like a very small knife compared to this beast.
Link fought the monster as well as her could, but he could not beat it. Link was exhausted and was on the ground when another boy jumped out from the bushes and slashed at the Wolfos. His sword was much larger than the Kokiri sword but was still small and light enough to be held in one hand. Link and Saria got a good look at him at this moment with the wolf running off, badly injured. He was maybe a year or two older than Link but had the same hair and was also left - handed. He was about average height for his age with brown pants and a green, short sleeved shirt. He was muscular and handsome and Saria was in shock at his strength and courage. She was instantly in love.
The boy did not see because Link had hidden her behind a bush. He walked up to Link and helped him up. "Thanks," Link said still in some pain for the attacks the Wolfos had landed on him. "Hey, I've never seen you before, especially in these woods, and believe me, I know these woods well." "I'm Kiron. I'm from Hyrule Castle. I'm Zelda's brother. You must be Link. Zelda told me a lot about you, but to be honest, I expected you to be better with a sword." Kiron replied with a bow. "Wait a second, Zelda doesn't have a brother. And even if she did, I would have seen you when I was in the castle before." Link countered in disbelief. "Well that depends on what parts you've been in." "Well I was in Zelda's room, the throne room and the entire east wing." "Well then that's why. My room's in the west wing. and most of the time I'm in the fields or Lake Hylia practicing with my sword." "Right. Well then, prove it. Take us to the castle and if you get in without any trouble from the guards and Zelda backs up the fact that you're her brother, then I'll believe it" Link said.
Saria, still hiding in the bush, heard this and bursted out. "Yeah, lets go to the castle!" Saria exclaimed "Wait, who are you?" Kiron asked " And how long have you been there?" "This is Saria. She's my friend, and apparently, wants to go to the castle." Link said a little startled since during the fight, he forgot he hid her in a bush. "Yes, please." Saria said, still staring at Kiron lovingly. "OK. Let's go."
