Peter was stunned. In front of him stood what looked like a thirteen year-old boy carrying a spear, but he was huge! He stood level with the bottom of the tree canopy. He had brown skin and dark hair that covered his ears and came down to where his shirt collar would be -- that is, if he had worn a shirt. Right now, he was only wearing a loin cloth that came down about halfway between his waist and his knees, covering only what needed to be covered.
The other thing Peter noticed immediately was how muscular the boy was! His calves looked like tree trunks, and he had the pecs and abs of a pro basketball player. He stood there, looking around, with his hand to his eyes, which were deep and brooding, and gave Peter a strange sense of calm, that maybe this boy wasn't actually so scary.
Suddenly, the boy spotted the wreckage of Peter's plane hanging in the tree, and ran over to it, looking inside. Shockingly, he picked it up, even though it was probably twice his size! "Man," Peter thought to himself, "I guess those muscles aren't just for show!" The boy sat the plane on the ground, only a few dozen feet from where Peter was hiding, and extinguished the lingering flames with a bit of water from a small leather canteen he was carrying around his waist. He then got down on his hands and knees, and searched through the plane wreckage.
Peter tried to be as quiet as possible while he assessed the situation. Should he make himself known to this boy? He didn't know what would happen, but he didn't have many other options at the moment.
