Andrew still couldn't believe that he was going to Hawaii with his girlfriend, Megan. Megan's parents had a beach house there and they were kind enough to invite Andrew along. Sure it might be a little weird with them there, but if Andrew had his way, he wouldn't be seeing a lot of them anyway.
Andrew finished packing all of his stuff (10 days worth of it), loaded up his car, and prepared to leave.
"Have fun, honey!" his Mom said "make sure you call me everyday!"
"I will" said Andrew, somewhat sarcastically, knowing that the likelihood of calling home every day was next to none.
Soon Andrew was pulling into Megan's driveway. He got out of the car and knocked on the door. To his surprise, Megan's dad, Steve answered the door.
"Hi Andrew!" He said with a big smile on his face, "I'm glad you're finally here, come on in!"
"Thanks Mr. Bell," you said, a little taken aback by how welcoming he was. You didn't know Megan's parents very well, in fact you've never had a full conversation with her dad.
"Please call me Steve!" he said. "Come into the living room, the rest of the family is waiting for you," he said while trying to grab your hand.
You quickly recoiled, "Hey save that kind of stuff for Mrs. Bell!" you joked, trying to make light of an awkward situation.
Steve looked embarrassed, "oh...sorry...haha. Follow me."
You followed Steve into the living room and saw Megan, sitting on the couch, wearing short jean shorts, and a pink tank top. She was fiddling with her hair while Megan's mom Liz, sat in an armchair, looking a little nervous.
You plop down next to Megan on the couch.
"Hi Megan!"
She barely looks at you. "Hi Andrew."
"That's all I get? Not a hug or anything!?" you answer.
"You haven't told him dear?!?" Megan's mom questioned, looking at Steve.
"Uh...I was just about to... Andrew, that's not Megan...I am." Steve said.
"I'm not sure I follow." you said.
"Our family is in possession of a rare medallion that allows anybody to transform into anybody else. I've used it with my family a lot."
"Ok" you said, trying to take everything in "I don't believe you, but let's say that this is true. Why did you become your dad?"
"Well, this week is my parent’s 25th anniversary. I asked what they wanted as a gift. They said they wanted to be young again and go on a vacation. I agreed , as long as they took us with them on their trip."
"Hold on," you said, starting to connect the dots in your head. "If you're your dad that means that I would become...your mom?"
Steve nodded at you. You turned your gaze to Liz, sitting on the chair who also nodded.
“I know this is asking a lot, but it would mean so much to us. I promise we’ll make this a trip you won’t forget.”
“Why did you decide to change genders?” you asked.
Liz answered, “We thought it would be fun to change things up. Plus I thought it would be a good idea for Steve to spend some time as Megan so he could better relate to his daughter.”
You looked over at “Megan.” She looked just as beautiful as always. It was hard to imagine that her body was currently being occupied by a middle aged man.
Megan as Steve walked over to you. “Please, Andrew, I promise it will be fun. Plus we’ll bring the medallion with us. If you don’t like being my mom, I’m sure we can find you another body you’ll be happy with.
