Since a young age you have been able to malipulate the properties of all metals, leading to an array of varied and strange structures back home which you crafted from various objects and packs your parents bought for you, since one of your favourite subjects back at your old school was art and you have ambitions to sculpt metal in the future.
Even so, you haven't always been the quiet type, and when a cruel fellow student of your old school destroyed one of your seemingly 'miracle' metal projects out of spite, you angrily forgot your parent's warning to keep your powers a secret and proceeded to crush the irritating jock's car into scrap when no one was looking. It was then you realised that your powers could be a force for good or bad, and you have tried your best to be a better person ever since.
Regardless your parents felt the 'car incident' was a bad thing for you to do and soon after a wheelchair-bound man named Professor Charles Xavier contacted you and convinced them to allow you a place in his school for similar 'gifted' individuals and to learn to use their powers responsibly.
Since arriving you have been getting some uncomfortable looks, and it pains you to know why. Xavier has told you that you share a similar gift with a man named Eric Lehnsherr, better known to the world at large as the Global Mutant Terrorist Magneto, self-claimed 'Master of Magnetism' and Xavier's poplar opposite in the feelings on Mutants and Humans - whilst the Professor feels that Mutants and Homo Sapians can and should co-exist, Magneto does not share this view and so has attempted to punish humanity on many occasions through his Brotherhood of Mutants.
In short, already you've got this villainous character rep learing over you due to your particular powers. Thankfully the various teachers you meet at first - Jean Grey, a Telepath like the Professor, Scott Summers, who wears specs to protect his laser blasting eyesight (and apparently in some sort of romantical relationship with Jean, you guess), Ororo Munroe, who has extensive control over the elements like Rain and Lightning, Hank McCoy, a Blue Furrish Mutant who defies his appearance of a 'Beast' by being incredibly gifted and in charge of the Sciences at the School, and lastly Logan, a odd short fellow who has steel claws and seems quite out of place in this schooling environment, which is odd in itself.
In any case you have the first day to yourself with classes commencing tomorrow. You could either head to your dorm and meet your roommate, or prhraps explore the mansion or surrsounding grounds a little? If nothing else you must shrug off this pesky reputation this Magnus fellow has given ypu, otherwise you might as well join up in his stupid Brotherhood of Mutants...
