"I guess I can make do with this body until we get our business settled here. I will just have to woo the princess with words and not my body. Scribe, I want to see if you can find a way out of this in the libraries of Traeven. I do not trust their wizard enough to examine me but we might find something in their books that could help. After I get to the castle Captain I want you to see about other magic users in the area that might be trusted to help in this matter. Both of you be discreet though, King Arthras must not find out what befell me." Kelos spoke with an even clear tone as he got some new clothes to cover himself. The prince's clothes hung loose on his body without the bulging muscles to fill them out. He tightened his pants the best he could.
Captain nodded in approval at the prince acting with thought and not emotion. He made it clear to those few in the know must remain tight lipped about this lest the Traeven kingdom use it against them. They stood on enemy soil that barely tolerated them, best not to give an excuse to them for treacherous action.
The scribe for his part felt a slight relief that no punishment seemed forth coming. The fault wasn't truly his but royalty decided that. He also looked forward to poring through the library in Traeven castle if the prince secured permission. The prince's appeal of appearance and speech lent him much ability. Still, King Arthras looked down on the match and distrusted anyone from Grovan. He might not be easily persuaded to give anything to those he saw as enemies.
The carriage soon on its way with the prince pondering how he might best pursue the princess. The alliance between the two great nations remained secondary to his desire for Fia. He failed to work out how to get her alone so that he might express his true feelings for her. When the carriage arrived at the castle a short greeting was given to Kelos. King Arthras had Prince Kelos shown to a room before leaving to take care of other matters. Kelos felt confident that all went as well as could be expected of the first meeting.
