Mike was walking down the hallway in his school. He was in 7th grade, but he was one of the shortest kids in the class. It didn't matter though. No one picked on him, but they didn't pay alot of attention to him either.
"Mike!"
Mike turned to see his best friend Josh jogging up to him. Josh was 5'2 with shaggy blond hair. They had been friends for a couple years and treated each other like brothers.
"What's up Josh?" Mike asked.
"Hey, did you want to come by my house later today? I just got that new video game, "Zombies Attack 5" yesterday and you know we;ve been waiting forever for-"
"Don't need to think about it Josh. I'll be by right after school". Josh smiled and quickly headed toward his class before he was late. Even though they were friends, the only times they saw each other during school was in between classes and lunch.
Mike knew Josh had gotten a head start once school got out. As Mike walked along the sidewalk, he noticed something shining in front of him. He stopped and picked it up. It was a stone, but it was glowing green.
"Almost alien-like or something" he muttered to himself. He still thought it was cool, so he put it in his pocket and walked towards Josh's house.
