A cute guy bought her another vanilla mocca

Serena began to slowly nurse both drinks as she continued to look through her fashion magazine. Distracting by the sweet taste of the Vanilla moccha, she managed to drink half of it before she looked down and realized it. I better slow down she thought to herself. It was then that she saw the waiter return with another vanilla moccha. "Thank you but I didn't order a second one" she said, the surprise evident in her tone.

"The drink is from the guy at the bar" the waiter said before heading back to the kitchen. Serena looked over to the bar and saw Carter Baizen. She gave him a smile and a nice little wave. Since he had gotten back into town, he had been trying to date her but she was committed to her relationship with Dan. If this had only been a summer earlier, she might have accepted his advances.

Serena went back to drinking the rest of her Vanilla moccha and when she looked up a few minutes later, Carter had come over, and sat down on the pool lounge chair next to hers. "Hey Serena! I'm surprised to see you by yourself. Where is your entourage or boyfriend?" he asked her with a sly smile.

"Sometimes a girl just needs some time to herself" Serena replied. "What brings you here?" she asked him.

"I was hoping to see you. I know I don't have the best reputation at the moment but the feelings I have for real. I think you should at least give me a chance. One day?" Carter asked with his best smile
