Cream swallowed the last bite of her carrot cake with a huge gulp and patted her enlarged and soft stomach. She hiccuped and giggled, then got up to put the plate in the sink. Cream's body truly had thickened over the past month and a half. The carrot cake she just ate was just the most recent of many cakes she had been wolfing down recently. Needless to say, the cakes were absolutely delicious, but were rather fattening should they be eaten by only one person. The effects that these carrot cakes had taken on Cream's body were obvious, as a month ago, Cream did not have such thick arms and legs, such a wide waist, or, most apparent, such a large belly. While she wasn't huge or anything scale tipping, she was certainly bigger than she was last month.
But Cream's new eating habits aren't her fault; the cakes were offered to her. One of her closest friends, Tails, had been baking these carrot cakes for her, and for her only. Over the last month and a half, Tails would stop by Cream's house and offer a carrot cake to her, and she would take it and eat it. While it is certainly a nice thing to do, what really made Cream pack on all these pounds is that his arrivals with the cakes were very common. Not daily, but rarely would any more than three days pass without Tails giving Cream cake.
Cream couldn't really say she even had a care for her recent weight gain, in fact, she hardly even knew about it. Sure she could feel it in her body and her clothes that she's getting bigger, but more often than not, she doesn't notice. Vanilla, Cream's mother, had noticed her daughter's expansion, and it wasn't until she said something about it that Cream actually knew about it. Vanilla didn't tell Cream about her weight gain to make her stop, she was simply telling her just to let her know. Vanilla wasn't really a mother that would do anything for or to her daughter to make her sad; as far as Vanilla could be concerned, her daughter's happiness was the most important thing in the world. So, Vanilla allowed Cream to continue eating Tails' carrot cakes, and as a result, the once slim and light Cream became chubby and heavy.
