Moriarty perked up as he saw a couple in their mid-twenties arrive with their two dogs. He'd advertised a pet-friendly hotel, but this was the first time someone had taken advantage since he opened.

"Reservations for Sanders," the man, whose name was Tim, said.

"Of course, sir," the clerk said. "You can head up to the 6th floor, room 609, and the bellboy will bring your bags up for you in a few minutes."

The couple headed toward the elevator, their two companions in front of them.
