This choice: Stay with James and Gina • Go Back...Chapter #4Stay with James and Gina by: The Guest   Moriarty watched James and Gina using the surveillance cameras. He had Megan and Billy, the other two new arrivals, off to the side.
Gina interested him. She acted like a simpleton, but she clearly was a master manipulator and had her companion wrapped around her little finger. She had led James to the room, rather than the other way around, and now, even as she was stripping the clothes from his body, she was getting information out of him. And he probably thought he was in charge.
He laughed at the thought and turned his attention to the mother and child in the other room, where Megan had bent down to tend to Billy's shoes. That did give him an idea.
He waited until James and Gina were comfortably in bed before he released gas into their room. His assistants pulled the two naked forms out of the bed and into the secret service corridor, where gurneys were waiting to wheel them to the lab.
Meanwhile, he waited for Megan and Billy to end up in a similar situation...he released a diluted form of gas into their room that took a bit longer to take effect. Both of them began to yawn. "I think maybe we're tired from the trip," Megan told her son. "Why don't we take a little nap?" She suggested, kicking off her shoes. She helped Billy untie his, and lie down in bed.
He conked out immediately. She kissed him on the forehead and went to the other bed and promptly conked out herself...just in time for a trip down the service corridor.
Down in the lab, the Professor opted to use a new method he'd been experimenting with. He'd been developing an implantable modification chip. The idea was that it could be monitored and adjusted remotely once implanted. He wouldn't have to bring people back to he lab. It was much slower than his normal technique, changes were not instantaneous. But, as long as the chips were in range of his receivers, planted all around the hotel anyway, he wouldn't need to bring them back to the lab. If he implanted one in everyone in the hotel, it would certainly speed his productivity.
For James and Gina, who might not even stay the night, he'd arrange to slip a few receivers into their possessions. They operated over cellular telephone frequencies, so then he could continue with them even if they left...assuming everything worked to plan.
