You felt an odd chill as you entered Megan's old room.
"Wow, that's quite a chill" said Alex. Nothing would happen for now but you would be in for it that night. You just didn't know it just yet. Who knows what would happen from there.
You started walking around after setting your stuff down in Megan's old room. You looked at Emily who was playing with her dolls.
"Hey Emily, are you alright?" you asked. Emily turned to you and smiled.
"Hi Alex, I'm ok" said Emily. She was still distraught after Megan's death but she would slowly endure. You felt so sorry for her.
"Honestly Emily, I will do anything to help you and your family" you said, which brought a smile to Emily's face.
Later that night, it was dinner time. You joined the three of them for a nice meal.
At the table everyone was quiet, as though they all knew that someone was missing, “Hey I know what your all thinking, It just doesn’t feel the same without her, and I know there will never be anyone else like her, but what if while I’m here you can think of me as Megan, so that you can all say and do the things that you would if she was still her?" you say. It was an odd thing to say but the family was touched by his words.
"You're a great guy Alex" said Tony with a smile.
"That's a generous offer Alex. I have no doubt Megan would be proud of your words" said Dawn. Emily smiled and hugged Alex.
"He he, so you want to be my sister?" said Emily, giggling at the thought. you laughed and the family enjoyed a tender moment.
