It was a warm night, oddly warm for May. That didn't bother Linda though, she preferred that it would be too hot out than too cold. Her neighborhood was always safe, and Linda always took walks around the block like this. It was 11am, there were a few people sitting on their porches, enjoying the weather, which made Linda feel a little safer.
She took walks like these to reflect on herself. When she would get too frustrated with her obsession with growth, and try to figure out ways she could better herself, and come to terms with the fact that this is a fantasy, that might never occur. MIGHT never occur.
Linda turned a corner, and it was suddenly oddly quiet. She got a weird feeling, and was uneasy for a few moments. She looked behind her, and saw no one. She looked to her sides, and around her, to see if there was a place anyone could hide, but it was a normal neighborhood. She thought to herself "The only tree big enough for someone to hide behind is all the way..."
Even her own thoughts were interrupted by some strong entity grabbing her from behind. She tried to scream but her mouth was already covered. She struggled a bit, and then the man who had grabbed her spun her around quickly. She looked into the man's eyes, barely able to catch a glimpse of him. To her, everything went black, but this being had brought her under hypnosis.
He bent her over slightly, and brought his face down to her neck, and began to drain her blood. It was a vampire, who had every intention of sucking every drip of blood out Linda. Had it not been for another mysterious man who charged from behind, plunging a steak into the vampires heart from behind, the vampire would've killed Linda. Both Linda and the Vampire fell to the ground, and the man checked Linda's pulse, which was still there. He looked around quickly, and ran off.
A few moments later, Linda regained consciousness. She looked to her side and saw the dead man's body next to her, and almost screamed, but she covered her mouth. She saw the man's...sharp teeth, and the steak through his heart. Her eyes widened, as she touched her own neck, and felt the 2 holes places there. She felt a pain in her arm, as the steak had punctured her arm as well, but not too badly. She quickly got up, and ran home.
Extremely shaken up, and went to her bathroom, and began to nurse her wounds. She was feeling really odd, as well as scared. She wasn't sure what was happening, though. Her teeth began to hurt a bit...and when she looked, she saw that they were growing into fangs, like a vampire. Her heart was racing, and she nervously looked around, unsure of what to do. Her teeth were sharp...really sharp...but oddly, the wounds she had gotten from earlier had no healed, and still felt pain, and were still bleeding.
She mentally tested herself. She had not lost her cravings for normal food, she still felt that she needed water to survive...the only difference was she had a slight curiosity for the taste of blood. She tested it, by licking her own wound on her forearm, and the blood tasted really good, but that's it. She didn't feel like she needed it, she only felt like it tasted really good. The light in her bathroom didn't bother her, and she grabbed some garlic, finding that it didn't bother her either. Her mother's bible didn't affect her either. Confused, she sat down on her bed...and quickly fell asleep.
During her sleep, she had a dream. It was more like, a flood of information to what she had become. She was still mostly human, except now she could digest blood...human blood. and human blood...would make her grow...
