Amanda was being watched constantly. She was the perfect subject. Professor Richards managed to infiltrate the school, disguised as a biology professor. It took him years to lie, cheat, and steal his way to this position. He had all the resources he needed, and finally finished turning basement into a giant holding cell, which was a 50 foot cube.
Richards found Amanda, seeing that she had little friends, kept out of people's way, and minded her own business. She didn't join any clubs, didn't participate in class, and just kept to herself. She was also small enough that the impact of his experiment would be more visual.
It was a dark evening when Richards knocked Amanda out, and got her to his cell.
