Bec looked at the device. Her mother now had all the superpowers of Superman. Super-strength, super speed, flight, x-ray vision, and ice breath.

"You can fly?" asked Bec.
"Of course, I've shown you before." said Cassie.
"And you can lift extremely heavy objects?"
"Yes."

Bec went outside. She tried to lift the car above her head, but she couldn't even lift it an inch. She looked up at the sky and tried to focus on flying. Nothing happened. She didn't even levitate.

"What are you doing?" her mother said, coming outside.
"Trying to fly"
"Bec, you can't fly. I didn't pass on my superhuman genes onto you."

Cassie then proceeded to lift the car above her head as if it was only the weight of a feather. She then levitated in the air.

"Dammit!" she thought to herself.
