Dennis had so many thoughts shaping the scene there was a noticeable delay in the camera flash.
Foremost, was his dread about the "Nice Personality" comment - he hoped that Claire did not have a "Nice Personality" and all that comment entailed. So, the camera acted to ensure that what awaited on the other side of that door was perfect - to make Claire as far from having a nice personality as possible. Of course, as much as he was thinking in the "Nice Personality" terms, Dennis was also thinking that Claire was hopefully attractive, so the camera put it's perfect spin on that as well.
Dennis was also hoping that Gina was not trying to set him up with Claire, and was interested in Dennis herself - and he was also thinking about how Gina was as beautiful as he remembered her.
The first effect of the camera shot was that the blemishes Gina was concealing with makeup were now gone from her flawless skin. Her fitness was back to - and slightly beyond the levels it had been at in High School. The retainer was gone but her teeth were flawlessly straight. She transformed, though Dennis scarcely noticed - into the version of her that his mind conjured when he thought of her - the idealized image he had created of her, more beautiful and stronger than the real her.
The second effect was on Gina's motives for bringing Dennis to meet Claire - she had been hoping to see Dennis again as soon as she'd applied to this school - and she was seriously crushing on him. But, if anything started between them, he would undoubtedly meet her roommate eventually, and she knew Dennis taste in women. She knew Dennis crushed on her in high school, but she had to learn right away if that crush could survive meeting Claire.
The door opened and there was Claire - working out in front of the radio. She was wearing a skin tight pair of spandex short shorts and an equally skin tight tank top - cut very low to reveal cleavage and ending very high to reveal abs. And it revealed magnificent examples of both. Claire was six feet tall if she was an inch, the cleavage on display was from a pair of DD breasts supported by flawless muscle tone. The abs on display were tight and toned - showing hints of the separation of a six pack, but retaining the flawless smoothness sought after by many photographers.
The door opened on her doing bends that were stretching her sensually muscled legs and flaunting her spectacular ass, she would then raise and turn to bring her magnificent bosom profile into view before going back to center and bending to flaunt her ass again. And it was clear that with the door open she was no longer so much working out as flaunting herself before the recently arrived spectators. She had seen that Gina had returned with a guy and decided right away that she would steal him away. Mind you, he wasn't much to look at, so she'd probably just use him as here homework toy rather than her sex toy, but she'd still make sure to completely erase Gina from his mind.
Dennis eyes nearly popped out of his head and his jaw dropped at the sight of Claire - she had the body of a fitness/bikini/glamour model - and when she turned far enough to favor him with a sexy, but smug and slightly sinister smile he realized she had the face beautiful enough that some guys might actually look her in the eye despite her body. Gina was aware of the Dennis initial reaction - she couldn't blame him exactly as she'd almost succumbed to lustful feelings for Claire at first meeting too. Claire always seemed to be doing something sexy whenever someone opened the door. She just hoped the initial lust would pass, Dennis would see what a bitch Claire was, and forget about her.
