"Your world is gone, there is no way back" the creature said, continuing to pull, "survival outside is almost impossible, a bug on your world is enormous here. The safest place, is on him."
With that, the Lynx let go and ran off, it seemed that survival out here was rather impossible given there was nothing small enough for you to even kill for food and it'd take days to get a dent in the skin of any berries or plant life. If there were regular animals here, it was more likely that the hunter would be the hunted or just get crushed, and a bug, most would be somewhere between the size of your house and the neighborhood or bigger. Weather wasn't even on your side, a light breeze was a hurricane gale and a drop of water was a pretty darn big pond, the millions in even a small drizzle could make oceans of mud now miles deep.
There was no choice, you followed the other lynx, at a dead run. Movement was almost impossible, the grooves and imperfections of the cement were paths you were forced to run through. Easily you could remember walking on millions of sidewalks and never noticing, at the most, you'd known that a sidewalk felt rough underfoot. At the time of course, your feet weren't in the range of 1/175th of an inch long.
At the moment, it was beyond understanding why the enormous Lynx had stood there so long, but that wasn't mattering much as you were right at the smaller of them and ready to ascend. Between you were several strands of fur, they were more like buildings than an insulator, but were the way up. Your companion was already ascending, like a little rocket.
Climbing had never been your strong area, and now being naked as you did it was making it worse. Images of girls laughing below came to mind, a reminder from school. Of course, football and soccer had always been the thing, not shimmying up frigging ropes. That was stuff for cheer leaders and kids, stuff that was a waste of time.
