With the advent of transformation technology has come a new era of identity theft. Many people strive, either independantly or for contractors, to steal the forms of particular individuals. A thriving black market exists for illegal captured scans.

Celebrities are common targets, as are politicians and high-powered businessmen.

You yourself are an identity theft, and you like to think you're pretty good at it. You use a self-transforming device for your missions, capable of scanning your targets at short-range, as well as transform you, your target, and anybody who gets in your way. It adopts a new configuration, disguising itself to match your current body with every change you make.
