Wolf turned around and walked along the outer edge of the park, which was luckily inside a large neighborhood subdivision, where he lived. It was summer, in the middle of July, and he had nothing else to do, so he just stumbled around for awhile.
Finally, he came across a grass field where he spotted two boys, who were wearing soccer cleats, socks, shorts and jerseys, and they were kicking around a soccer ball. Wolf recognized them as Jake and his younger brother Kyle, who lived just down the street from his house. Jake played on the same soccer team as Wolf did, on Saturday mornings.
"Hey, guys! What's up?" Wolf said to them.
"Yo, Wolf! Kick it back!" Jake said, as he sent the ball straight to Wolf.
Wolf stopped the ball from rolling past him, with his right foot, before he kicked it back to Jake.
"Hey! What about me?" Kyle cried out.
Jake just ignored his little brother and kicked the ball back to Wolf, but this time, Wolf kicked it to Kyle instead.
"Kick it over here, Kyle!" Jake ordered.
But Kyle just kicked it to Wolf, when Jake ran in front of him, and intercepted the ball. Jake rolled the ball out of the way, until he was standing farther away from both Kyle and Wolf.
"Hey! That's cheating!" Kyle protested, as Jake kicked the ball back to Wolf.
"Come on, you guys! We can all play!" Wolf sighed.
"Jake's not sharing!" Kyle protested.
"Okay... Jake, pass to Kyle!" Wolf ordered, after he had kicked the ball back to Jake.
"What? But I don't wanna... Uhh..." Jake began to say, when Wolf concentrated his power on him.
Then Jake looked down at the soccer ball and kicked it straight at Wolf, who kicked it to Kyle.
"Now, kick it to me!" Wolf told Kyle.
"What... Oh... Okay..." Kyle replied, who kicked it right back to Wolf.
Wolf just smiled. He didn't really want to use his mind control powers on his best friends, but it was the only wat to stop the two brothers from arguing.
After they had finished kicking the ball around for a few minutes, they decided to walk over to Jake and Kyle's house for a little while...
