Sakura sat in silence outside the academy window while her teammates waited inside. At this point in time everyone else had been picked up by their jonin sensei while theirs was late to come collect them.
Sasuke was content to sit at an open desk while Naruto kept peeking into the hall as if that would make their new teacher appear much faster. It was honestly starting to grate on her nerves.
"Naruto! Just sit down!" Sakura scolded.
"I don't want to!" Naruto petulantly replied back. "How come our teacher's the only one that's late! I'm ready to roll, believe it! Besides everyone else already met with their sensei's and went off on some grand adventure or something, even Iruka-sensei's gone too!"
Sakura sighed. As much as she hated to admit it, he kind of had a point. "We get it, okay? Wait!? What are you doing!?"
Naruto was giggling like mad when he pulled up a stool and placed an eraser in the crack of the door.
"Naruto..." Sakura began.
"This is what he gets for showing up late!" Naruto cut off as pulled away the stool. "Boom! Surprise!"
"You're just asking for trouble, you know you shouldn't do that." Sakura chastised, although a huge part of thought their sensei deserved this.
"Our sensei's supposed to be an elite jonin, do you hinestly think he'll fall for that?" Sasuke asked, finally joining the conversation.
"Sasuke's right! You're so clueless Naruto!"
It was then the sound of scraping wood caught their attention. Everyone turned towards the door to silver-haired masked man poke his head in, only to be met head on with the falling eraser. It hit his head with dull *plop* and hit the floor with a wooden thud.
Everyone continued to stare at the scene in silence at what was to come next, that is until Naruto began to laugh his ass off. "Hahahaha! He totally fell for it!"
"I'm sorry sensei, I told him not to do it but he wouldn't listen. I'd never do anything like that!" Sakura quickly said trying to cover her own. Though internally she was pleased the eraser found it's mark.
Sasuke was just silent.
Their sensei ignored their words for a moment, instead focused on picking up the eraser. It was a childish trick that he could have easily avoided. He eyed them all with an unreadable expression. "Hmm? How should I put this. My first impression of this group... I hate you all."
Everyone hung their heads low hearing that. He said it so casually too.
"I'd ask you to meet up on the roof, but given that's not possible for all of you, we'll just have to have our meeting outside." the masked man said before vanishing in a swirl of leaves.
He reappeared outside in front of where Sakura was seated and the giant kunoichi watched him reappear in surprise. He made than shunshin technique look so smooth. Smoother than even Iruka or Mizuki sensei.
"Yo!" he greeted.
Sakura decided right then and there her new sensei was weird.
