Hearing that, Hayley knew that you were still reluctant and guessed that, even if she told you, there was a chance you would not share everything. She decided to tease you a little to peek your interest.
"If you can catch me, I'll tell you!" she said, grinning.
To her surprise you grinned back as you were very confident in your technological skills. "You are on!" he said.
Hayley laughed and speed by you and an incredible speed. Her move was so fast you had to do a double take but you were quick to recover and laughed yourself as you quickly gave chase. Hayley quickly looked back, expecting you to be far behind but gave a squeal and a giggle as you were only a few feet away, smiling excitedly.
"Well, at least I finally got his attention." she thought, still grinning. "Let's see if he can keep up on that thing."
You felt a surge of excitement as you found that you were just barely able to keep up with her. "She's a damn good at this!" you thought, smiling. "I have to admit, win or lose, this is going to be fun!"
High into the night sky, around buildings and through the empty streets, you chased Hayley, just managing to stay right on her tail.
"He's pretty good on that 'broomstick'." thought Hayley. "I haven't been able to shake him yet." she then giggled. "But nor has he been able to catch me."
"Man, I'm just barely staying on her tail and I'm at full throttle!" you thought, somewhat frustrated. "what is powering that broomstick!?!" then you smiled. "It's time to take things up a notch!"
With that, you add your telekinesis to the broomsticks power but you over estimated and ended up passing her! This time, Hayley had to do a double take.
"Who is chasing who?" she asked out loud.
Then she let out a low scream as you suddenly put on the breaks and narrowly missed tagging her as she flew passed you. Hayley laughed, seeing that you had missed, then became serious as she now knew that you had a number of tricks up your sleeve. She allowed you to get within hearing rage then called back to you.
"It's getting late, John!" she called. "Last one home talks first!"
You nodded then kicked your broomstick into overdrive but Hayley was ready for you and pushed her magic to its limit and stayed several feet ahead of you. Knowing that you were not going to win, you quickly touched an ear piece radio, summoning 'Jack'
"I am coming in hot with an invited guest twenty feet ahead." you said. "Open the tunnel and welcome my guest."
"Scans indicate that Hayley is your guest." said Jack's voice. "Tunnel is open... proceed."
Hayley flew down into the chimney with you right behind her, laughing. When you reached the landing zone, ten seconds after Hayley, you found her looking about in complete awe.
"Welcome to my laboratory, Hayley." you said.
Hayley jumped, startled by you, then turned around. You could tell that she was impressed, it made you smile.
"I lost, so I will go first." you told her. "I am a chaotic scientist."
Hayley had never heard of a chaotic scientist, nor did she know about uncle Jack's powers. Mom mentioned that there was one possibility but she did not tell her. She guessed that this was it.
