And fear for my fate I did. The words die, insane, animal changes were on repeat in my head. How could this be happening to me. Was this some kind of crazy dream. Or sick prank? As these thoughts raced through my mind, I could feel my heartbeat accelerating. And that is when things really got weird.
All of a sudden my body began to feel weird. Indescribably weird. I felt tingles race through my body. My skin felt tight...extremely tight.
"I'm sorry honey," my mom apologized as she re-entered the room. "I should not have..."
The next thing I heard was my mother's blood-curdling scream.
What's going on? I thought. Why is she screaming so loudly. I attempted to reach up and cover my ears with my hands only I couldn't. In fact I couldn't move at all. It was like I was stuck. I heard/felt my clothing ripping. Thoughts were becoming difficult to grasp. And then almost as soon as it started, it stopped. The sensations... the tightness.. it all went away.
Unfortunately Mom was still blubbering. I tried to call out to her only I didn't hear my voice, I heard
