"Now my dears, you don't want to do that, do you?" she asked, her voice suddenly growing sweet. "After all, I still have your bodies, and it would be such a shame if something were to happen to them."
Eric heard her and understood her meaning - even though he'd have to deal with this psycho dragon longer, he decided that it would be worth it if he could get his own body and return home. He dug his feet into the ground, throwing the other dragon off balance and causing the two of them to skid to a stop.
"Why do you do that?" the other dragon asked, looking at Eric, amazed.
"We h've to keep our bodies," he said, his voice growing a bit more compliant to his commands.
"That's right, my sweet one," Esmerda said, sticking some of her muzzle down into the tunnel, her tongue flicking in and out.
"Bu, if we escape, my'abe we could get a wizard to help us," the other dragon suggested, glancing longingly at the safety offered by the tunnel.
