Dee was all for looking for any other uninfected people on the campus. For all they knew, there was another group of students hauled up in a dorm room somewhere just like they had been. The virus had scared everyone senseless, but not Dee, she had been fascinated by it. She had always had an interest in biology and chemistry, and the way this mysterious virus had come out of nowhere and begun to affect people's bodies was something she found very intriguing. She wished she could have studied it...but was glad she had stayed away - while her classmates had bloated and grown over the past few weeks, Dee had been extra cautious
"I guess I'll go and search the labs," Dee announced. "That's the area I know best."
"Good idea," Erica said. "Let's split up and meet back here in half an hour, if we don't find anything, we'll make a move and get the hell outta here."
The others nodded, and went their separate ways. Dee walked down the stairs, and followed the corridor along to the science department. The hallways were empty, and Dee had never seen the campus looking quite so ominous...without the bustling activity that usually filled the halls, it seemed cold and eerie.
"Hello?" Dee called out as she pushed open the doors to the labs. "Is anybody here?"
