It was one hot Saturday as we see Sonic setting up his spot on Emerald Beach. The beach was long and there was a resort just east on the sandy shore with a restroom and shower station standing outside the resort and more inland. There was also a sea cliff with caves near the base of it a few miles to the left of the resort.
Sonic finished setting up his red and white patterned umbrella and green towel laid down on the sand. His shoes and socks were set nearby as well. He looked around seeing many people enjoying the beach activities from volleyball to digging in the sand. His friends Tails and Knuckles happened to be there as well. Tails was surfing on his new invention, the hover surfboard, and Knuckles was walking along the shore using a metal detector, having no luck in finding any treasure but garbage.
Even though he wasn't that keen for being in the water, he's fine being in the shallow parts where the water is up to his knees. He then decided what to do on the beach. Then he....
