You don't have much choice. Besides, there is a fun side to this. You don't mind pretending to be a dog. You just wish you could choose when to be dog and when to be human. Since it will only be for a few weeks, you agree.
With only a collar, you have limited freedom to run around the neighborhood. True to what Kat said, everyone treats you like a dog so no one thinks it strange when you dive in the river for a swim. You can even scratch yourself in public and all anyone does is make disgusted faces at you.
You get a visit from Nicholas and Sam that evening. Kat had called them to explain and to cast the necessary spells to let them know you aren't a dog.
Sam blushes and stays away. "I can't believe I'm seeing you naked in public and your parents don't mind."
"Yea, we could probably even have sex out here."
"You dog. As tempting as that is, I'm not sure I want that. I'm uncomfortable about you being naked and acting like a dog."
Sam excuses herself and leaves. You wonder how uncomfortable she is. Is this something she just has to get used to? Would you have to wait until your time as a dog is over before you can see her again? Is this going to end your relationship with her.
Nicholas, on the other hand, is thrilled about it. "Man I'm jealous. I'd love to run around like a dog for a few weeks." He tousles your hair just like he is petting a dog. "If it's okay with you, I'll ask Kat if I could take you walkies everyday. We could go to the park or to the old quarry to swim."
For the next few days, this is your life. You miss Sam who never visits. You have to potty outside. You sleep in a dog house. At least Kat let's you eat real meat instead of dog food. And you frequently get to go have fun with your friend Nicholas.
During those few days, Kevin does start coming around but isn't yet "steady" with Kat. One day, Kevin comes out to pet you while Kat is busy with her make up. He whispers, "Kat doesn't know this but I know who you are. I figured it out. It's scary to think of dating a girl who can make her own brother sleep in a dog house. So, before I choose to go steady with her, tell me the truth. Did she force this on you or is it your choice."
You have a choice. If you tell Kevin she forced this on you, Kevin will probably flee and Kat will punish you. If you can convince Kevin that it was your desire then Kevin might go steady with Kat and becomes Kat's new target but at least you might be able to get out from under her control.
