A flash shot out from the device, temporarily blinding Ryan. When he regained his sight, he saw his mother with a confused and somewhat annoyed look on her face. "Wait a second," she said, not noticing Ryan. "Why am I going to do errands when I can just make Ashley do them for me?"
When he heard this, Ryan tried to hold in a laugh. That was exactly the way Ashley would think. She was such a bossy and lazy person. Ryan followed his mother to the family room where Ashley was on the couch watching some bad teen girl TV show, which he assumed she was watching before the swap.
"Ashley, I need you to run some errands for me right now," Ryan's mom said to Ashley in a tone he was used to hearing from his sister.
"Sure thing, Mom." Ashley said in an enthusiastic tone. Ashley was eagerly offering to help in a way that their mother usually did. Ryan did his best to hold in a laugh.
Ashley got up off the couch and headed off to get ready to go. Within a couple of minutes, Ashley was out the front door and off to run the errands. Ryan's mother then sat down on the couch and began watching the show that Ashley was watching before. Ryan hurried out of the room and up to his bedroom where he burst out laughing.
"I can't believe this thing actually works!" he exclaimed in excitement. "I wonder who I should try this thing on next."
