When Ryan got downstairs, he scanned the room for test subjects, but he couldn't find them. Then, he suddenly couldn't see anything and he realized someone was blocking his vision!
"Guess who?" Said the person, who was covering his eyes with their hands. Ryan instantly recognized the voice as his girlfriend Sarah's.
"Hey babe." Ryan said as she uncovered his eyes. He turned around and gave her a kiss on the lips. "How did you even get in here?" He asked.
"Your mom let me in on her way out." She said. Ryan gave her an unsure look. "Don't worry," Sarah laughed. "I'm not a stalker or anything like that."
"So do you have anything you want to do?" He asked her.
"You know I always have a few ideas, but I'll do whatever you want if you already had plans."
"Okay then, let's go up to my room. Now I have a surprise." Ryan said as he took her by the hand. They walked up the stairs together and into his room where it was still a bit messy. "You'll have to excuse the mess, I just woke up and haven't cleaned my room yet.
"You weren't gonna clean it anyway, were you?" She said with a smile.
"Nope." Ryan said, followed by the couple sharing a laugh.
"So what is it?" Sarah asked.
"What is what?"
"The surprise, you dummy!" She playfully punched him.
"Well since you're being mean you don't get to find out." Ryan jokingly told her.
"No. You know I can't stand surprises!" Sarah said eagerly.
"Excuse me, but you were the one who randomly showed up at my house 5 minutes ago."
"Yeah, but that was a pleasant surprise!" She reasoned.
"So is this one..." He teased.
"Then show it to me."
"Okay fine." Ryan said, pulling the remote out of his pocket and presenting it to his girlfriend.
"A remote? Really?" Sarah asked, annoyed
"Not just any remote." Ryan told her. "Apparently it can swap things between people."
"That's ridiculous!" She said, thinking her boyfriend was pranking her.
"Can we at least test it out?" He pleaded. "What's the worst the can happen? It doesn't work?"
"I see your point." She said.
Looking at the remote together, they both looked at the possible swaps they could make. "I don't see anyone else around. Why don't we test it on ourselves?" Ryan proposed.
