With all of this girly stuff going on, there is a drive within you to go and act like a guy. Drinking beer might help that, but the bar isn't right in front of you, and you don't know how well you could currently handle your drinks. Throwing a football should help you keep sane until you find out a bit more about what is happening, and how to reverse this.
Trying to walk like a guy feels a bit odd. It is still instinctual, but there is nothing hanging out in your leg area that you have to avoid hitting to protect. Eventually, you make your way to the two players, as you tap one on the shoulder.
"Excuse me," you say as you bend you neck back to look up at the guy, "could I make the next throw."
The jock looks at you for a second, trying to process what you just said to him. "Oh, ya, okay." he manages to stumble out. "Hey Larry, pass the ball to her." he says. "Okay." the other guy, (who is presumably Larry,) responds.
The ball is thrown very lightly, it might as well have been tossed underhanded. You feel insulted at this man's judgment on your abilities...that is, until the ball hits you. OUCH! That hurt more than you expected. It wasn't too bad of a catch though, you were just not used to the current sensitivity of your skin, and the lack of upper body muscles.
You've thrown a football with friends before, you know what most girls don't, the technique. This will show them. (Who are you kidding, this will show you.) You take the ball in your right hand and spread your fingers around the bumpy grips. You then toss the ball forward, only to find that you didn't adjust for your wieght, and almost fall forward. The player that you talked to quickly wraps one arm around your stomach to stop you from falling. The ball itself goes about five feet before hitting the pavement and bouncing out into the road.
"That's a good start." says the guy holding you, as he releases his grip to let you get your balance back. The other guy quickly runs out into the street to pick up the ball before a car hits it.
"Why does this happen to me?" says a voice inside of your head.
"You had the grip about right, it was your release that was all wrong." says the jock. "I can quickly teach you if you'd like."
You look at Amy and Emily standing about ten yards back. Amy's motion is suggesting you take the guy's offer. Emily is looking impatient.
