Chapter #12

Take her advice and try it

by: no one of notice Author IconMail Icon
You don't like the idea, but Amy seems to know more about surviving as a girl than you do. Plus if it works, you can get some space to think. Then maybe you'll be able to think of a way to change back, and meet up with Emily.

Amy takes out a bright red tube and hands it to you, only to have you stare at it, until she realizes you have no clue what you are doing. Then holding the tube up to your lips, she presses it against them, and applies it for you. You look into the mirror, only to find that you don't like what you see. The shade of red is too bright, it seems like your seeking attention, or are too needy. At least it directs peoples eyes away from your chest. Maybe if they start reading your lips, you'll feel more like your old self again.

"Now go out there. And good luck." says Amy as she pushes you out the door.

You walk through the bar, feeling peoples eyes on you. A lot more eyes then before. Every guy's stare is creeping you out, every women is looking at you with the slight hint of hate in their eyes. You try and give a very mild smile as you return to your table. Where Ed is still sitting and talking with Jerry. Upon seeing you, Jerry pats Ed on the shoulder and walks off. You carefully sit, trying to compose yourself and sit more upright.

"Sorry about the wait." you say.
"No problem, I bought myself a beer to pass the time." said Ed.
"Oh, I don't like beer very much." you say, trying put some barriers between you.
"Neither do I. I just drink on special occasions." he responds, looking at your face. (It's better than him glaring at your ass.)
"Is there a special occasion?"
"I met you. That should count for something."

Oh, wow.
You look around the bar frantically. This guy is coming on too fast. Either he has no experience with women, or tons, either possibility will be a problem. You then see that Amy is flirting with Jerry, she doesn't notice you.

Just then Emily returns looking annoyed. This could be just the distraction you needed.
"I can't find your cousin anywhere." she says to you.
"Oh, I can help you look." you say.
She pulls you aside, then softly says, "no, it's fine, I see your busy. That color suits you."

Emily then quickly leaves.
There is one last chance, you look around for Tom. If he is here, maybe he can save you.
Nope, no luck there. Finally, you just flat out tell him:

"Ed, I'm sorry, I don't know what I am doing. I think I'm giving you signals that I don't mean to. I got taken here with my friends, who left me and now I just want to head back to my dorm room apartment."

Ed looks at you, and is a bit disappointed, but understands. He then asks your address, and wouldn't you know it, he lives in the same building. In the floor right above you. This cheers him up a bit more, he even offers to walk you home.
