It took a moment for the Young Cub to find the Human but when he did he smiled in amazement. He reached down with one furry hand. Ash had to steel himself to keep from running away. Huge clawed fingers closed around him in a surprisingly gentle grip and carefully lifted him upward.
Pressed between two huge and warm leathery pads, Ash looked passed the claws into the face of Little Bear. He remembered a Movie once where a girl was being held by a giant Gorilla and she was screaming "Don't eat me!" The thought it was stupid, after all it wasn't like the big ape could understand her, and panic wasn't going to help her situation. Now, he looked up at the face and noted how big the cub's mouth was, no wonder she was screaming that. Unlike the actress, he was trying his best to keep his cool. No sense in making an embarrassing fuss if he didn't have too.
For a creature whose fingers were at least twenty feet long, his grip wasn't as bad as one would think. It was tight, but he could breath. He just couldn't move. Then the fingers loosened and with a yelp he slipped between them only to fall into the waiting palm pad. This was o Little Bear could get a better look at him. The creature was small. Not much bigger than a beetle. But it looked like a human.
Ash felt the hand/paw he was on rise up closer to The cub's face, the huge nostrils flared as he sniffed at the human. The gust of suction tugged at his clothes. He did this as second time, a third.Did Little Bear find his aroma pleasant? No, it was most likely he was picking up his sent. A bear’s sense of smell is 7 times better than a blood hound’s or 2,100 times better than a human. They also have an excellent senses of hearing, which is probably why The cub could hear him.
Little Bear's head tilted to one side, much like a confused dog. The creature smelled like a human too. Ash wondered what he was going to do next?
