Julia jumped when she heard her smartphone announce the arrival of a new message. The mall was totally quiet by now and the chirping tune echoed along the passage. She dashed behind a bench and checked her mail account. The message made her frown. It said:

- Sorry but I had to go home.

- Come to the candy shop upstairs

- If you want to see Claire alive immediately go to the outdoor shop downstairs.
