The wheelchair was nothing remarkable. Two large wheels at the back supporting the chair with two smaller wheels in the front. The man in the chair looked just as unremarkable. But you knew that appearances could be deceiving. This man was Professor Charles Xavier, codename: Professor X. Founder of the X Men.
"Ah, Professor Xavier," said the Doctor "We were in the neighborhood and thought we might drop by, my name is The Doctor, and these are my companions, Rose, and I believe you've already met (your name)?"
"Yes, I have," said Xavier "What is your business here, i'm sorry, what did you say your name was again?
"Doctor," said the Doctor
"Doctor Who?" asked Xavier
"Just Doctor," said the Doctor "Now then, I was reading your theories on genetic mutation, but I had no idea that (your name) was a mutant until he told me a few minutes ago, perhaps you could tell me more about these mutations?"
Before Xavier could answer, a small, blue furred creature appeared beside his wheelchair. Rose stepped back, startled by the sudden appearance of this creature.
The creature spoke with a strong German accent. "I vhas wondering if our guests vould like some tea?"
"Yes, thank you Kurt," said Xavier "We'll come in in a minute to have it."
The creature known as Kurt vanished.
"That was Kurt Wagner," said Xavier "He is a student here at the institute, I take in as many mutants as I can, to give them a place to be accepted instead of feared."
The Doctor pushed open the doors to the institute, and Xavier led the way to a small living area. Small children were gazing up at the Doctor and his companions with curious eyes, wondering who these strangers were.
