Luffy ran back to the Thousand Sunny to show his crew something he'd found while exploring the island they'd just landed on.
Nami looked up and said, "Good timing, Luffy. The log pose is reset, and we're ready to go."
"Hey, check out what I found!"
Luffy held his hands out so the crew could see a necklace. The jewel in the center of the necklace was blue while everything else was gold.
"What a beautiful necklace!" Nami said, her eyes glued to the jewel in front.
"It's in incredible shape," Robin said, taking a close look at the necklace. "I'd imagine it's at least a few hundred years old."
"Why'd you take that, anyway?" Zoro asked. "I don't see anything special about it."
"Yeah, I was going to leave it behind," Luffy admitted, "but the jewel wasn't always blue. When I found it, it was clear, like a diamond. It didn't turn blue until after I had put it on."
"Well, I have read that the people of this island made jewelry that could perform extraordinary feats," Robin said. "This necklace might be one of those special pieces of jewelry."
"You're saying that this necklace could be some super-weapon?" Franky asked.
"If it is, keep that thing away from me!" Usopp said as he backed away from the group.
"Calm down," Sanji said. "We won't know if it's harmless or not unless someone tests it out."
"I'd be dying to know if this is dangerous or not...but I'm already dead!" Brook joked, to the annoyance of most of the crew.
"Who would want to try something that could be dangerous?" Chopper asked, from the same spot Usopp was taking cover.
"I'll do it, Doctor," Robin said, taking the necklace from Luffy and getting ready to put it over her neck. Nami groaned that she missed her chance to wear the necklace. As Robin put on the necklace, a bright light blinded the crew.
