As the approaching figure draws closer any doubts you might have had about him being another Gilgamesh test subject disappear.
He looks a couple inches shorter than your now seven foot-tall "little brother", but his utterly amazing physique is every bit the equal of Alex's. He's deeply tanned all over, which you can tell because he's only wearing a red swimsuit strained to the breaking point. Even to another guy his face is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, boasting the absolutely flawless features of a sixteen year-old Greek god. Completing his striking good looks are a pair of stunning azure eyes and long, flowing golden-blond hair.
This real-life Apollo skids to a stop in front of you and Alex and his expression breaks into a dazzling smile, which Alex immediately returns.
"Troy! What are you doing here?" Alex asks in obvious delight.
"I missed my best bud. Besides, what's the point of having your own private jet if you don't use it?" the blond behemoth asks, shrugging his barn-door wide shoulders.
Wait a minute, Troy? Troy Samson?!?! No way, that's impossible!
Troy has been Alex's best friend since they met in the first grade. The little pain in the neck has always mouthed off to you and never hesitated to get in your way when it was time for you to teach Alex a lesson. Consequently you ended up having to teach Troy a few things too. You never hurt him much, just enough to show him who was boss, but he never seemed to learn. Now the idea that the immensely muscular titan towering over is really Troy is enough to send a shiver of fear up your spine.
"I see you've had a growth spurt too," Troy says to Alex.
"Yeah, it just happened, man! I can't figure it out; why now? We've completed the program already!"
"They did say we'd keep getting bigger and stronger," Troy points out.
"Yeah, but not like this!"
"Are you complaining?"
"Course not! You know me better than that! I'd like to understand what's going on, though."
While the two bronzed, mega-buff colossi converse you stand there quietly, utterly ignored by each of them. What's worse is that you can't even muster up any indignation over your treatment; you're far too intimidated by the hulking He-Men looming above you. Not even in your wildest nightmares did you imagine that Alex and Troy would ever become so superior to you. You feel like a frigging little kid compared to them!
Your brief period of being overlooked ends soon comes to an end.
"What's going on is that we've gotten even more awesome than we already were!" Troy proclaims. "Now you're really this shrimp's BIG brother," he sneers, taking a step forward and arrogantly flexing his sculpted, beach-ball sized pecs in your face.
You stand there, trying not to visibly tremble. The thought of what the now-supremely mighty Troy could do to you with a mere flick of a finger terrifies you!
"Come on, Troy!' Alex chides his friend, grabbing a shoulder the size of a watermelon. "You agreed to lay off Justin, remember?"
"After all the times he bullied us?" Troy snorts.
"Don't you think you've already gotten him back enough? You've beaten him up every time you came over to our house for the last six months! Heck, you even made him lick your shoes last time!"
What? Talk about disgusting! Not to mention humiliating. Have you really spent the last half year as this enhanced twelve year-old's helpless punching bag? If only you could remember!
Why can't you? If you refused the treatment then what could possibly be causing these gaps in your recollection?
These are questions you should be devoting more attention to, but at the moment you're too upset over what you've heard to think clearly.
"You let him do that to me?" you demand of Alex, your outrage overwhelming your fear.
"Hey, Troy's right, Justin; you did pick on us a lot before we got way too strong for you. Then you became the victim and we got to be the bullies. Payback's a bitch, bro. Anyway, we didn't really hurt you, not like we could have. After the last time I did talk to Troy for you and he agreed to let up, didn't you, Troy?" Alex asks warningly.
"Yeah, yeah," Troy scowls. "Wait, why're you guys acting like all this is news to Justin?"
"He's been having some trouble remembering," Alex admits.
"Well, if he doesn't remember what I did to him . . . " Troy starts menacingly, a cruel sparkle in his cerulean eyes.
"No!" Alex intones. "Enought fighting! Why don't we . . .
